A specific composition
Nextida® GC is a collagen peptide composition developed by Rousselot using enzymatic hydrolysis: a process that breaks long protein chains into smaller fragments. A specific peptide mixture is not interchangeable with every other collagen.
Research on the ingredient
The publication by Grasset and colleagues includes preclinical experiments and an exploratory human study with 16 participants. The protocol compared single doses of 5 or 10 g of the ingredient in water with a placebo before a standardised meal.
The study concerns the ingredient, not the complete SHHH… I’m Your Secret formulation. It does not establish weight-loss effects or equivalence to medicines. Rousselot provided financial support for the research.
